Taizhou's industries

Water Conservancy ProjectYin Jiang He National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot

Built in 1999, this 1.2 Billion RMB project processes water directly from the Yangtze River. Water pumped here connects all the way north to Beijing and supplies cities with clean and healthy waters. This water project, however, acts as much more than an industrial zone. Though the water plant is the central purpose for its existence, it also functions as a leisure park with activities spread throughout the complex.

Here, visitors can water ski, fish, dine, play mini golf, watch an evening performance, and spend the night in a secluded luxury hotel. Yin Jiang He is an ideal place for a weekend getaway, or even for convention activities. There is a well-equipped and rather large conference center within the complex for visitor convenience.

Medicine ParkYangtze River Medicine Park

Dubbed "China's Medical City", Taizhou has become a center for research and manufactures in the pharmaceutical, biomedical, biochemical and bio-tech fields. CMC also incubates many pioneer projects, such as stem cell research. Major international and domestic corporations have been attracted to settle their subsidiaries and facilities in this area.

The Yangtze River Medicine Park is China’s largest producer of medication, and is open for visitation. A small electricity powered vehicle takes visitors around the complex, and into buildings. If you like to understand how your medication is made, and how this industry affects the local economy, you`ll surely want to visit.
