Taizhou Pickles（泰州酱菜）
The soy sauce pickles combine four traditional features: being fresh, sweet, crisp, and tender. As early as the reign of Emperor Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty, soy sauce pickles were already considered a traditional snack.
A local brand of pickles, Five Fortunes of Xinghua, received an award of recognition by the Southeast Asia Product Trade Fair and ever since, the line of pickled snacks has grown. Major products lines including pickles, sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and fermented bean curd are all traditionally local. |
