About Taizhou
Taizhou, 泰州, means Peaceful City, a term to which the city has adapted itself rather well. This prefecture-level city, one of Jiangsu Province’s 13, has a population of just over five million.
Many decades ago, Taizhou was an important part of Yangzhou, but due to political interests, the two were split. Currently, the area of Taizhou administers over 100 towns, grouped into six (6) county-level divisions. These six are divided into four (4) county-level cities and two (2) districts. Jiangyan City (姜堰市)
Hailing District (海陵区)

Taixing City (泰兴市)

Vast economic development, diverse natural resources, rich history and dissimilar culture has brought the city into the public’s eye. As one of China’s Historic and Cultural cities, Taizhou appeals to all.
